Enrique Roig, former Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. State Department’s DRL Bureau, specializes in Western Hemisphere and Africa affairs. He previously advised the Under Secretary for Civilian Security and led USAID’s Central America Regional Security Initiative, earning four awards for leadership. With experience in 30+ countries, he is a recognized expert in political development, citizen security, and conflict prevention. Enrique has worked with high-level officials, CSOs, and international donors. A frequent speaker and author, he provides thought leadership on democracy, governance, and security.
